We couldn’t be happier to have been awarded, for the second year running, The Good Food Guide’s Best 100 Local Restaurants 2024!
The award is a result of being nominated by our lovely customers, followed by an inspection from the Good Food Guide (GFG) team who looks for restaurants that are:
· Independently run and owned by hands on proprietors
· Offers regularly changing seasonal menus at affordable prices
· Demonstrates strong relationships with local suppliers
· Rooted in the local community
· Gives customers a genuine, warm welcome
‘Unlike many awards lists out there, our Best Local Restaurants judging is based on inspecting every single restaurant to make the cut – always anonymously and to the same stringent criteria… following up on the most promising of the 60,000 public nominations.
‘It’s heartening to look around a dining room and find older couples, young families, and groups of friends all united by their love of great food, a comfortable, warm setting, and an accessible price point’.
To us, this accessibility is at the heart of Chapter. And we send a huge thank you to the continual support we receive from our lovely customers, so many of them regulars from the neighbourhood, and to our talented and enthusiastic team. It’s a joy being embedded in the Edgbaston and wider Birmingham community. A special mention to our local suppliers with whom we have worked for many years – they are an amazing bunch and supply the produce that helps create our signature style.
The inspectors noted how Chapter plays a starring role on Greenfield Crescent when the monthly Artisan Market is held, observed the beautiful decor and concluded that the team is ‘impressively knowledgeable’ serving a modern menu that people love. Chapter’s Sunday roasts were highlighted as well.
