Summer is well and truly here, with new seasonal flavours bursting through. As we wave goodbye to asparagus and wild garlic, say hello to peas, broad beans, baby courgettes and baby beetroot!
You can’t get more summery than our English Tomato Gazpacho (VE) with a delicious zing of balsamic onions. We’ve introduced a succulent Loomswood Duck Breast with a sweet and tangy gooseberry sauce and honeyed cashews. Loomswood Farm is in Suffolk, not far from Jimmy Butler’s farm where he raises his herds of free range pigs. Speaking of Jimmy Butler, we are now serving his pork belly with our delicious Channel scallops, pea puree and finished with a black pudding granola.
Our new Goats Cheese Mousse (v) is served with a creamy baby beetroot panna cotta…yum!! The Seared Tuna Loin is summer on a plate with the fresh zingy flavours of the wasabi, pickled chilli and avocado.
Amrita, our pastry chef, has brought out a whole new selection of desserts. You must try the Blueberry Polenta Cake with its moist polenta sponge, fresh blueberries, and subtle yoghurt mousse finished with white chocolate crumble. Her deconstructed Trifle is bursting with early summer strawberries, a strawberry sorbet and delicate vanilla sponge. The Cherry Brulee is a delight, accompanied by a dark chocolate shortbread.
